Eindhoven museum

Online installations!

Exceptional situations need to have exceptional solutions.

Covid-19 lockdowns limited the Eindhoven museum activity and access to the physical interactive installations . To solve the situation and offer the museum visitors to visit the Eindhoven museum in a different way, the physical installations were converted to digital experiences.

To experience this project press here:

The concept

Like the physical installations, these digital interactions are celebrating the 100years anniversaryof Eindhovens city. All digital installations are collecting opinions of visitors in playful and interesting ways. The opinion summary shows how the visitors perceives their city's neighbourhoods and what they would like to see more, how much they know about their city history, and how they came to the Eindhoven.

The team

The concept created by me and Leonardo Gerritse.
The UX, UI and coding was done by me. It combines Javascript, p5.js and Firebase.
The graphic design style was created by Dolf Robertus.
Copywriting - Carline Zoete

The Wheel

This installation can help visitors to show how they perceive and how they would like to see their own neighborhoods from the transport, buildings, food, and value perspectives. After turning the wheels and selecting the three most reflective options, visitors can see how other peoples look to the same neighborhood.

The Maze

The installation creates a unique way to answer the questions about the Eindhoven city and its history by moving the 'walker' through the right maze track. After each question, visitors can compare their answers with others.

The 100euro

The installation asks how the visitor would spend 100 euros in the Eindhoven on the three different fields - mobility, food, and infrastructure.

The map

Eindhoven is an international city with people from different cultures and countries. Even the local people have traveled quite a lot all around the world. This installation shows a map with pins and threads which indicates from where people have come to Eindhoven. Visitors also can leave their personal stories about how they came to Eindhoven and why they stayed here.
